A few days ago, WILA Laser used laser cladding technology to manufacture the spindle bearing bit of a decanter centrifuge from Shanghai Dow Chemical, which was well received by customers.

For screw compressors, due to the corrosion of the inner wall of the cylinder, the seal line of the rotor is severely worn, causing the gap between the rotor and the cylinder to be too large, resulting in a decrease in the efficiency of the compressor. WILA adopted the method of laser cladding and then grinding the inner wall of the cylinder.

WILA accurately clamps the titanium alloy valve stem, and the end thimble is locked; the additive repair of the laser coaxial powder feeding is used to repair the damaged area leaving a processing allowance. The scanning path is spiral forward, and the starting point position alternates between the left and right end and the difference is smooth. The hour hand rotates to control the temperature rise of the workpiece; fluorescence detection is adopted, and the size is restored by machining according to the requirements of the drawing and delivered and used.

WILA laser cladding Zr65Al7.5Ni10Cu17.5 alloy powder on a pure titanium (TA2) substrate, and the coating was analyzed by XRD, SEM and TEM. The coating is composed of intermetallic compound + a small amount of amorphous. This kind of composite structure of intermetallic compound and amorphous phase with high specific strength, high hardness and high oxidation resistance has good mechanical properties. Adding w(B)2% and w(Si)2-75% to Zr65Al7.5Ni10Cu17.5 alloy powder, it was found that the amorphous content in the coating increased and the hardness increased. The highest hardness of the two coatings reached HK909. 6 and HK1444.8.
